ICGER President Dr. Mohammad Walid Youssef, Beirut MP Ibrahim Mneimneh, and representatives of MPs Faisal Karami and Taha Naji attended the launch, as well as a host of political figures, academics, researchers, and members of the center\u2019s team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Opening Remarks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Imad Ghannoum opened the ceremony and praised the team\u2019s efforts under Dr. Youssef\u2019s leadership in producing what he described as \u201cthe first of its kind in the Middle East.\u201d Ghannoum emphasized that the report not only documents the major geopolitical developments of 2024, but also offers rigorous analytical insights and forecasts for 2025 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Strategic Vision<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Farah Nassif, ICGER\u2019s GM, delivered the center\u2019s keynote address, stressing its mission to become a globally recognized hub for strategic research and analysis. \u201cWe aim to provide thorough, scientifically grounded analysis based on rigorous, objective methodologies,\u201d Nassif stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She added: \u201cOur core goal is to equip decision-makers and the geopolitical research community with deep insights and reliable data, enabling them to navigate the complexities of today\u2019s world and anticipate tomorrow\u2019s challenges. This contributes to designing effective policies that promote security, stability, and sustainable development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nassif concluded by affirming the center\u2019s commitment to remaining a beacon of objective analysis and a platform for ideas that advance peace, prosperity, and progress regionally and globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A short documentary followed, offering an overview of ICGER\u2019s work and its president, highlighting the center\u2019s mission and strategic goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session One: Regional Developments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first panel, moderated by ICGER\u2019s editorial director Hassan Hashem, featured presentations from the center\u2019s geopolitical team. Ms. Housniya Al-Jubayli, head of the Geopolitical Department and MENA Division, provided a detailed overview of the region\u2019s key developments in 2024, emphasizing the importance of consolidating these insights into a single report to serve as a reference for policy and strategic orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional presentations were delivered by regional division heads: Reem Atoui (Sub-Saharan Africa), Albert Bou Khalil (Europe), Haneen Jarkas (Asia and Oceania), and Amal Hussein (the Americas).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session Two: Theoretical Frameworks and Projections<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second session, moderated by Dr. Ghannoum, featured a presentation by Dr. Mohammad Walid Youssef.
