Semi-Annual Geopolitical Report (January to June 2025)

This semi-annual geopolitical report presents an overview of the major developments that occurred worldwide between January and June 2025. International dynamics converged, with the trajectories of major and regional powers intersecting in a competition for influence. The International Center for Geopolitical and Economic Research monitored pivotal events in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, analyzed their underlying trends, and assessed their implications to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of shifts in power balances and transformations within the international order and anticipate potential scenarios and outcomes for the latter half of the year.
