A Critique of Islamic Political History Part II – The Nascent Empire Section 3: Public Authority versus Private Networks: The Emergence of the Bureaucratic Foundation of the Empire

The International Center for Geopolitical and Economic Research held a 3-part series of lectures titled “The Critique of Political Islamic History” in August 2024. ICGER is publishing these lectures here in the form of research papers under the same title, which will be followed by a critique of economic Islamic history.

After publishing the first part of this series, in which we discussed the emergence of history in the Arabian Peninsula in eleven parts, we begin publishing the second part titled “The Nascent Empire“.
